Hello fellow travelers on the artistic path! I’m happy to announce I’m teaching a new drop in class on Thursdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Plaza Art in Rockville, MD. I’m excited to see your progress and having fun in the company of other artists doing the same. Stretching oneself can be challenging, but it’s always worth the effort!

A first for me, I was recently was awarded 1st place in two categories (drawing, painting) by Gavin Glakas in the Rockville Art League’s May 2015 Juried members’ show.
I’m happy to report that a painting of mine has been selected as a finalist in the ArtSpace Herndon 2014 Portrait Competition. The announcement on their website can be found here.
The show will run from October 7 through November 2nd, 2014. Awards and Artists Reception on Saturday, October 11, 2014, 7 – 9 pm
This competition was for artists residing in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Delaware, and West Virginia. I’m honored to have been selected by the panel for inclusion. I can’t wait to attend the reception and meet the other artists and guests!
